ICBC (Asia) Internet and Mobile Banking Security Notice
Beware of unauthorized transactions and the internet/ mobile security vulnerability that hackers could use this vulnerability to trick customers into divulging their personal information. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (the "Bank") would like to remind customers to pay attention to the Internet and Mobile Banking security, and recommend the following measures to protect your own interests.Please read our eBanking Security Tips to find out more.
1.Timely read transaction instant message and transaction histories in statements issued by the Bank.
2.Regularly change Internet and Mobile Banking password and use difficult-to-guess password;
3.Keep your password confidential at all times. Do not disclose your password to any person, including Bank's employee.
4.Keep your personal information and second authentication information/tools (password token)/ Mobile Token in a proper way in order to avoid any misappropriation.
5.The ICBC (Asia) mobile banking app should bedownloaded or updated through the Bank’s website at www.icbcasia.com (eBanking>Mobile Banking) orvia the Apple App Store / Google Play/Huawei App Store. Do not download and install the app from unofficial sources;
6.Evaluate the requested permissions carefully before installation of the Mobile Banking app;
7.Update your mobile phone operating system as soon as it is available;
8.Remember to install and update the latest security software to protect your mobile phone from hackers' attack.
9.You are advised to change your passwords periodically and use a unique password for each site you visit.
10.Keep up to date with the latest Information and notifications, regularly logged into internet banking’s “Mailbox”and check eMessage sent by the bank.
11.Do not logon to your ICBC (Asia) Online or Mobile Banking through hyperlinks embedded in any suspicious emails, electronic communications (e.g. SMS messages, Whatsapp, Wechat, Facebook Messenger), third party websites or QR Code. Should always access to our Online Banking Service by typing our Bank’s website address www.icbcasia.com directly into your browser.

Customer Reminder: Bogus Voice Message Phone Calls The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (the "Bank") would like to remind customers to pay attention to the trend of bogus voice message phone calls. From the Police, fraudsters may claim to be from a well-known organization, some of them may even use the application software to impersonate the legitimate hotline number of that organization to approach customers.
The Bank would like to remind customers that the Bank never asks customers to provide personal information by phone or voice message system. If customers received any suspected call claimed to be related to the Bank, please contact the Bank’s Customer Service Hotline.

Q1.How to protect our security when using Mobile Banking Services?
A: i. Customers are reminded to be cautious of any fraudulent websites or any suspicious iPhone / Android application of the ICBC Mobile Banking. To access the official Mobile Banking website, please type "m.icbcaisa.com" or "https://mobilehk. icbc.com.cn" into the browser of any mobile handsets or tablets. Also,you can download thebank’s application through Apple Store/ or Google Play.
ii. Use the default browser originally provided by mobile handsets and tablets rather than newly installed browsers downloaded from other sources. For additional protection, please delete cookies regularly.
iii. When using Wi-Fi connection, use trusted Wi-Fi networks or service providers and enable security protection such as Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), if possible. Avoid signing on Mobile Banking via public Wi-Fi (wireless network) and Wi-Fi without password setting.
iv. After receiving the PIN notification letter, please memorize the PIN and destroy the notification letter. To ensure the security of your PIN, we suggest to change your PIN while using for the first time. Do not use your identity card number, telephone number, date of birth, driving license number, or easy-to-guess numbers or words as your password, and avoid selecting the same password that you have used for accessing other web services.
v. Do not disclose your user name and password of Mobile Banking to anyone (including bank staff and the police). You should also avoid disclosing your personal information such as HKID card number and date of birth to anyone as well.
vi. Do not save personal mobile banking account name and password in the mobile handsetsor tablets.
vii. Do not write the password on any devices used for Mobile Banking. You should memorize the password instead.
viii. Avoid usingthe Mobile Banking in crowded areas and please take note of entering password via specific handsets. Don’t let anyone nearby get your information indirectly.
ix. Check your surroundings before performing any banking transactions, and make sure that no one sees your Mobile Banking password. Always pay extra care when typing in password.
x. For security purposes, please change your Mobile Banking password regularly via our Internet Banking Services.
xi. For security reasons, you cannot logon to the same "Internet Banking A/C No./Defined User Name" with three channels (e.g. WAP and iPhone/Android App) simultaneously.
xii. Do notinstall applications on your mobile handsets from mistrusted sources.Please download and install updates and patches for your Mobile Apps, operating systems and browsers regularly.
xiii. Do not use any jailbroken iPhone or rooted Android handsets which may have security loopholes and unpredictable consequences.
Q2.What should I do if I lose my password or mobile handset?
A:If you lose your Mobile Banking password/mobile handset, or suspected that your password or securitydevice is used by an unauthorized party, or have found any unauthorized transaction(s) associated with your account, please contact both of your mobile network service provider and us immediately.
Q3. Does Two-factor Authentication apply to Mobile Banking? What is the advantage?
Yes. The Two-factor authentication uses a combination of 2 different factors for verifying a user's identity.
The advantage is that your transaction is highly protected because the fraudsters cannot steal your physically possessed tools (such as your mobile phone) over the Internet. All of the high-risk Internet Banking transactions, such as fund transfers to non-designated accounts, are protected by this additional authentication tool physically held by yourself. By just a few simple steps, you can enjoy this enhanced security level of online transactions.
Q4. How to enhance your email security in transaction?
A: i. Use strong password in your email service.
ii. Use two-factor authentication as far as possible to secure your email account.
iii. Monitor and review login activity.
iv. Use different email address for different account. For example, avoid using the same email address for banking and gaming services. Also use different passwords for different online services.
v.. Be vigilant to suspiciousemail or website which asks you to provide your login credentials.
vi. Do not use public Wi-Fi to accesssensitive services. Using telecommunication network is more secure.
